Rebecca Byrom plays the clarinet and been a member of the Band for three and a half years. She wants to use this moment to say a heartfelt thanks to a very special person for giving her the opportunity to be ‘part of this wonderful band and keep doing what she loves’.

Gemma Hall
Gemma Hall plays the flute in the Band and has been a member for about 10 years. Whilst she loves the sound of the flute, she admits to a secret passion of the tuba and bassoon!
Sheila Handley
Sheila Handley hadn’t been playing the bassoon for very long when she joined the Band 13 years ago. She is now an experienced bassoonist and plays with several other ensembles.
Fiona Storey
Fiona Storey played the violin as a child and only took up the clarinet in her forties. She joined the Band eighteen months later and is now the section leader of the clarinets.
Tina Mitchell
Tina Mitchell joined the Band as a flautist, played the trumpet for a while, but can now be found in the French horn section! She can also be found waggling the stick on occasions!
Sam Horton
Sam Horton is a primary school teacher by day. He joined the Band relatively recently and is our lead trumpeter.
