We were excited and very proud to take second place in the Large Ensembles class at MK Festival of Music and Drama yesterday with our performance of Pirates of the Caribbean (Symphonic Suite). We were meant to play this piece in 2018, when the competition was cancelled at the last minute due to snow. It is a very popular piece amongst our members with some challenges, so good to bring it out again and give it our best efforts.
There was strong competition, and we would particularly like to congratulate MK Brass for being worthy winners of the class. They were awesome and we wish them all the best for the Regional Brass Band Championship next weekend.
We are looking forward to a very busy summer playing at a number of fetes, carnivals and Queen’s Platinum Jubilee events. Once confirmed we will add them to our events calendar – so do keep an eye on it and come and say hello at one of our events!
