What a joy the past few weeks have been for us all, back rehearsing together.
We’re still social distancing, wearing masks (except when playing!), and letting the fresh air flow. But none of that gets in the way of the music making, or of the fun we have making it
One of the joys of playing a part in the band is sharing the real sense of companionship that it brings about. We spend a lot of time concentrating on tempo and dynamics, on trying to capture the spirit of the music we play, or perhaps on our own individual playing skills (or lack of them in my case!),
So sometimes we lose sight possibly of the fundamental reason we get together, which is simply that…to get together.
And it’s when we start again after a long gap we are reminded just how joyful the feeling of togetherness can be.
Since our restart we’ve been joined by some lovely new members, enhancing our brass and woodwind sections. Welcome to you all, enjoy the fun.
