We had a great time playing Christmas music to staff and shoppers at Dobbies Garden Centre in Bletchley this morning. It was intended that we play outside, but the wet weather meant we wouldn’t have been able to play, so the staff at Dobbies were great in finding some space for us inside the main store.
The Band kicked of with a few traditional carols before playing some of the more modern Christmas music, including “It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas”, “The Fairytale of New York”, “Driving Home for Christmas” and “Feliz Navidad” to name just a few tunes from our extensive seasonal library.
We were collecting donations for The Community First Responders of the South Central Ambulance Service, which is the Band’s Charity of the Year for 2023/24. Thanks to those First Responders who came along to support us, speak to members of the public and collect very welcome donations.
