Welcome to Winslow Concert Band.

We are a friendly and enthusiastic concert band from the small market town of Winslow in Buckinghamshire. We play all types of music from classical, to big band, to modern pops, to show tunes, covering music for all ages.

Our band membership covers all levels of musical grades, generally grade three and above. Players come from all walks of life and are of all ages. We are a family band and several of our members are related in one form or another.

Latest News

Happy New Year

Well the band had a great end to 2009, and now we look forward to the start of 2010. At present, Snow permiting, we are currently getting ready for our annual winter concert in February 20th. We will feature our usual mix of selections from the show, classical highlights and big band numbers. We will also have our usual refreshments and our grand prize raffle.

Exciting New Venture

As we go to press the band is currently involved with the AVDC in trying to set up a youth band in the Buckingham area. We hope to  hold the youth band  rehaersals once a fortnight on Saturdays. This is currently still at the planning stage, however, as soon as we can, we will bring further details as they happen.

Summer Season

The band is looking forward to this summer, we have already had enquiries and we look forward to all of our events this year.

Joint Concert

Later  on this year we will be holding a joint cincett with our neighbours Grat Horwood Silver Band. We are hoping to stage this at SS Peter & Pauls in Buckingham. Look out for further details

New Band Photos

Visit our album for the latest photos of the wonderful bowling night we all had back in October. It was a great night, and by all accounts I think our Tenor Sax section had the best time!
